No superyacht experience required to add to this post, just make it up as you go along. As well as dreaming about sailing in places that only Nigel has ever visited, I like to have the odd speculation about sailing on boats that I never will. So here's my list of speculations on sailing a 35m+ superyacht to start. Anyone want to add some more?
1) Pulling up the mainsail makes you sweat
2) A spinnaker wrap costs a year's salary
3) Trapping your fingers in an electric winch makes your eyes water
4) You'll never find anyone like Jimi on board
5) Wraparound shades obligatory
6) Look cool when the Yachting World photographer is around
7) Don't look for the main traveller, you will be disappointed
8) You'll never visit the Sea of Okhotsk
9) You won't get wet in Scotland, just go inside and sail from there
10) You can visit Loch Ranza, safe from gnat/midge tornadoes.
