There's a post on facebook from Anna Riorden saying that they were anchored off Culatra for three weeks and sailed to Porto Santo where they have been told that they can stay at anchor for 14 days and been allowed to anchor in the harbour because of bad weather, after 14 bdays they will be checked for health and if clear will be allowed ashore.

Should they develop the illness, will they be left to their own devices on the boat?

Interesting point.

If it was sufficiently serious to declare a Pan Medico, I suspect it would be dealt with in the same way as any medical emergency at sea. The casualty would be taken off and treated in isolation in the nearest suitable hospital.

If it was just a run of the mill bout of sickness, I suspect they would be given medical advice and medicine and left to their own devices to recover on board, in isolation.

Non the less, at least its a sensible approach, as long as they can access stores and water when in isolation. At least they've not been turned round and sent away.
