Sorry, no, it is a race if someone is catching you up or being caught up and is about the same size (or smaller /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) If they are bigger, well it depends on what sort of boat. Even better if they are obviously racing you.

Hate to disagree - neer let any thing rattle you. They're catching up, you break out the wine and cheese and soak up the rays. You're overtaking, you break out the wine and cheese and soak up the rays but work like hell to get past and stay ahead, unless. they catch up in which case ..............
