I get the impression (may be wrong) that most of the Liveaboarders on this forum are on sail boats. Is this correct?

Most are sail. That may be just for this forum but sailing is a far cheaper way of living and travelling if you have time to wait and anchor for a day with the right wind.

I have lived on a narrowboat (that actually moved) for years but decided to make my life even more difficult. That's more about the rather more complex environment than sail vs motor though.

From our experience over the past 20 years - very true but of late the balance may be changing towards power.

I suspect, post Covid19, there will be very few new Liveaboards outside their home country. Conversely existing Liveaboards will continue until they die out or become too old.
