use a petroleum oil lamp. (= parraffine?, i also use petroleum in the taylor kitchen stove). Warm and cosy, but not enough for reading. After starting up beware because flame grows and produces flocks of coal that you discover only when it's too late: everything in open lockers had to be taken out and cleaned, and don't know how much of that coal we inhaled.
