Hello, does anyone know if there is a code /paint number for the duck egg type blue used on some Sadler yachts. Need a match for some gel coat repairs. Cheers, Chris W.

Try Mike Lucas Yachting in Torquay, Devon, he is very knowledgeable about all things Sadler. Not got his number to hand but will be in a directory somewhere.

when faced with a similar problem I found East Coast Fibreglass very helpful and willing to make up a special pot of gelcoat to match a small sample I sent them. However its better still to buy the pigment pots from them and fiddle around yourself adding pigment to white gelcoat until you have what you want. The original gel will have faded so even if Mike knew the original colour it would be no real use to you for matching

Thankyou all, the boat is a Sadler 32 and as she has spent her life in the med the gel coat is very faded. I wonder what the rules are on carrying gel coat repair kits in aircraft luggage! We have a share in her and are going out next week, want to patch up some nasty dinks and scratches. Cheers, Chris W.
