Do they all have one that turns the double into a berth and a half or was it just the one that we looked at?

No, that's the standard design, at least on the older boats, don't know if it was changed later. When I replaced the Bukh with a Yanmar we lost a lot of engine height, so a smaller door could be a possibility, but as we have never attempted to use it as a double berth we didn't bother. Two Brompton bikes just fit nicely into the centre berth space!
