Another cloth ears

Do try to read the post there's a good chap.

These over the shoulder the remarks are, well they can make you feel a smart little chap at first then when someone pops up and says, 'it's not me doing the teaching'; 'cos if you read the post (and absorbed it) before answering it, you wouldn't look like, well, I'll leave you to think of something.

PS hopes this gets to you before you've been down the pub and compounded it by telling your mates.

Thank you for your reply. Yes the wife knows what's involved in practical YM - she just doesn't want to do it.

As said in my post it isn't the money. REad latest PBO ref this same thing.

Thank you we have already explored that route. There are none locally and the need is where we are, not many miles away.

Smug and...

Thank you for stating the obvious as so many have already.

Had you read my post you would understand that it is my wife who is going to do the teaching. Please pay attention.

I have not said I do not like any thing.

Joining the pack of baying hounds, who are chasing the wrong quarry, is a common indication you require leadership and disaffection.

Please read the post, properly, and make up your own mind.

Yes we know the requirements for the ICC, which is also and incoherent approach by the RYA don't you think?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not that incoherent:

http://www.rya.org.uk/KnowledgeBase/boatingabroad/icc/categories.htm

The ICC has six categories. When an ICC certificate is issued, only the categories for which competence has been proven will be validated.

The six categories are comprised of Coastal or inland, and four vessel types

Which of these categories are validated, depends on which certificates the applicant presents with their application form or in the case of a practical test, is related to the vessel on which the test was completed. (See the back of the ICC application form for details).

http://www.rya.org.uk/NR/rdonlyres/C83802A2-2031-4FB3-B56F-BDF0F25138FA/0/ICCForm.pdf

Theory courses don't count for any of them.

Thank you for answering. Yes, it is worthwhile helping youngsters. It is not the money it is the degree of qualification (the practical) to teach a lesse concomitant of the original certificate.

Read PBI latest refd RYA over qualifications.

Thank you for your considerd answer.

Yes £80 is probably right.

We really do want to get them qualified though as young as possible.

Yes you have but thank you for revealing yourself. If we need inane, discriminatory comments from a grubby little person we now know where to come.

Dear Tangomoon,
You have achieved the impossible, you have made Mr B look warm and cuddly.
Now please be a good chap and piss off

Sorry I'll get out the lounge, thought it was the PBO forum.

Brian

Well, actually the RYA do not say that on their website, I cannot comment on a telephone conversation, where 'what you say is not what I hear' is always a risk.

And as for Day Skippers, there is a certain minimum that they need to know to be safe at sea.

They learn 70% to 80% of the content of a Yachtmaster theory course. I tell students 'this is a beginners course, but it is in no way a basic course'; it should not be described as 'much lesser' than YM.

Don't hold back old son! Tell it as it is!
Would you feel this understanding socially adjusted warm cuddly individual was in any way psychologically qualified to teach anybody anything?

Dear Keith
Living in the provinces may qualify you, but does not excuse you for using bad manners and foul language and being a revolting person.

In your own words from your inane ditty at the bottom of your post/page;

[ QUOTE ]
please disregard my comments as the mumblings of a drunken fool

[/ QUOTE ]

I expect your mum loves you.

Another moron

Please do pay attention.

It is not me that is doing the teaching.

Dear oh dear there really is no substitute for education.

RTFM
