Citric acid or even lemon juice may work if the stain is not too bad. Rinse with diluted oxalic (or citric) first then with water. Citric is easy to get than oxalic as it is not a listed poison, SWMBO may even have some in the kitchen.

Stain Devil for rust (available from supermarkets) works and is easy to get hold of if you don't want to go chasing round pharmacies trying to persuade them to sell you poison.

Works well so long as the sail hasn't become softened by flogging when the gel will remain within the cloth and the temperature is well up on the day you do it.

Hi, hello from Spain.
Have you tried with "XILAMON"? I don´t remember the brand, (I live in Spain and here I got it easily). Its main component is Oxalic Acid.
