Do you buy Oxalic Acid under that name or is it the main ingredient of some proprietry product.... either way, where can you get it?

Most dispensing chemists don't know what you're talking about when you ask them for oxalic acid.
It is toxic by ingestion and is to be found in Staybrite hull cleaner.
You can get it from speciality fine chemicals wholesalers such as Cannings.

They will if asked, order it for you, comes in cystal form, you can add wallpaper paste to it to make it "gel" and stay on vertical surfaces better. Industrial chenists have it in the bigger industrial conubations. You can buy proper sail rust stain remover, but this is PBO after all.
