Jeez, I haven't even finished the 2008 album yet /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
As discussed in Oostende, the intention is to make 2009 the maiden crossing for us aboard Sixpence /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
No promises at this stage, but work progressing well so I should get in some sailing soon.
Looking forward to next year and haven't even got part way through this one yet /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Same old quandry for 2009 as I'll still be Hon Sec and should be in Calais, then 2010 is the 75th Anniversary and I am trying to go on the 2 month 'rolling' meet covering all the Southerly RNSA Branches!
I met up with Jeremy who did your survey when I was in Calais. He was telling me how impressed he was with your boat. Reading a bit of the 'Return from Oostende' I can see what he meant.
On Sunday I got as far as Ramsgate and decided not to push it trying to go North in to the forecast NE'ly F too much! As I would have been beating up Fishermans / Foulgers about 2200 I think it was the right decision! Might have been "fun" once round the Sunk though!
About three weeks ago we took Beyond Reason on her start of the season shakedown. On arrival at Brightlingsea, the HM showed us to our berth and we tied up. Turning round I was surprised to see Flipper directly behind us. Pity you weren't about, I could have introduced you to BR and given you the guided tour. Next time.
Sadly not.
Lynn has had 3 birthdays in Oostende in the last 4 years.
It is a special birthday next year, and I will arrange something a bit special....
If it's the one near Cambridge - of course, I'll race you /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
If it's the other one, boat may need to be in Plymouth around that time /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
