I recently saw a very near miss by two nutters on one of those tiny high speed 2 man racing dinghies (the one that look almost like a windsurfer but with a small hull) & a small motor cruiser in Chi harbour. I know the small craft are allowed to race but don't they have regulations like everyon else?
These guys were all over the place & quite rightly the skipper of the mobo slowed to stop as he obviously wasn't sure were they were going. They seemed hell bent on ploughing on regardless of danger.
We were on a beneteau heading in watching this & how they avoided smacking into the cruiser I don't know. Even the marshall boat did nothing!
We all need to have respect for other users even if in competition surely.
