ok boys and girls....i need to pick some brains.

my rudder bar is obviously round...!
however there is a piece cut at the top witch is square...sort of...... it is bigger at the bottom than at the top...i kind of pyramid with the top cut off...and on top of that is a threaded part ..to except a nut.......

the tiler obiously needs to connect to this, but i am making my own tiller.

is there a boss or fitting to conect the tiller to the rudder bar???

any idea's good people. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If I understand your description correctly, I think you need a square hole in the tiller that fits down on top of the "pyramid" at the top of the rudder stock. So the opening in the tiller should be shaped to match the top of the rudder stock - slightly larger at the bottom than at the top. Then the rudder will be held down with a nut that fits on the threaded part on top. You will probably need some kind of washer to fit between the tiller and the nut.

Make sense?
