Rubbish Postings

I agree, I keep hovering on the ignore for our friend, but watching someone seemingly have a nervous breakdown every time someone disagrees or does not think working in Tesco is for minions who think shaz is a good name for their first born, is actually quite entertaining.

Though I think, he is the least read on the forum and it doesn't, judging by todays bile, seem to bother him in the least. In fact I pity him really, it must be very lonely being in a gang of one!

Just thinking the same thing, nice to be "moderated" gives one a nice warm feeling!! Like peeing in your wet suit!!

No, I haven't done it either. But after his last pronouncements about my unsuitability for the fora I thought he'd choke on his afternoon muffins if he thought someone had selected him for ingnorement (new word, not American). /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It is almost universal and unfortunately usually accompanied by limited intelligence and a laid back attitude. PS I hope you have ceased to swing infants around your mast without proper failsafe mechanisms in force as per my last comment to you. As I said, it is pretty much universal.

Wish I could do you the justice of an intelligent reply, but I don't understand your question. Or was it a statement?

Still swinging infants around the mast - I find it's good for the gene pool.

Cobra25, I totally agree. A lot of the other posters especially Tome really do'nt know what they are up to. I must admit its good to have a kindred spirit here for a change .. you sort them out!

Now if we ask nicely we could have somewhere like the lounge but not the lounge of course but somewhere you could all...... well, do what you do best and love doing... with each other

PS you remain on my ignore list of AWs

Because it was a debating point specifically about this scuttlebutt forum.

I appreciate the advice of "ignore this user" option and the priority order so interesting threads tend to be at the top. However all this will not prevent the site responding slowly if it is inundated with non relevant posts. The lounge forum was specifically created for that.

Well actually Mr Sailfree the forum is a single database so whether a post is in the Lounge,SB or PBO will make the squareroot of a naffall diffrence to performance.

Thats a shame Mr Cobra25, I felt we were just beginning to get to know and dampen towards you .. are you enjoying your new craft?

I'm not sure that this is about certain posters being opposed to choice. Without wishing to sound patronising - which probably means I will - why don't you just do what we all do when, on finding a post that does not interest, just move on. The serious conversations about which burgee and what coloured ensign or technical stuff about voltage drop and resistance are of no interest to me at all - but I don't think that the forumites who engage in such conversations are bad people. There's plenty of interesting stuff around. Its not a bad website really and I'm sure that that is because we can all freely dip into and out of conversations. For me its a form of light relief most of the time from a fairly demanding job, at other times its been a source of priceless advice and experience that I just couldn't have obtained without considerable trial and tribulation. The final bit of course is that a lot of the people on here have become firm friends and that is worth such a lot.
So - all the responses that your original post has created still take me back to my original comment - one man's rubbish....
