I was about to smear a tad of Vaseline on the rubber seals in the coach roof hatches when I remembered a sex education class I saw on the TV. It demonstrated that vaseline attacks rubber by rubbing a very small amount on an inflated condom. Within seconds the condom burst...moral being, use KY. What should I use on the hatch seals? Does non-setting silicon do the job, is KY the best …any suggestions welcome.

KY is water based, so not a great choice. Some sort of silicone is probably best.

ha Ha , bearing in mind your tag line, your post is most appropriate.

Anyway in the vague hope that this is a genuine query, what's wrong with a silicon spray on the hatches or even WD40?

Silicone spray. You can get it from the likes of Halfrauds for about a fiver a can. It lubricates rubber and plastic parts. (can be a bit slimey)
Vaseline or normal grease makes rubber swell up and eventually does more harm than good.

Sharpen up at the back of the class. Not everyone on this forum is a smutty minded little oik!
Yes the plan is to stop the hatches leaking as she sits in the car park and hopefully to make things last longer. No she is not an essex girl so you can stop that thinking right now!

The seals are probably expanded (foam) neoprene. If so Vaseline should not affect them.

Out of interest, what type of seal is it? O Rig or a flat seal with a WW sort of cross section?

Is it possible to get new seals? As the one in our fore cabin decided to leak when we had lots of green water repeatedly come over the front. By pushing the seal in it would blow bubbles of seawater at me, which didn't go down too well

Alternatively you can get it from Lidl from time to time for 99p.
