RTI - What time is your start?

That weather is certainly consistant with the 1200 hrs projected chart, but if that low moves a bit faster, it could all get a tad interesting!

Heard any more forecasts. There seem to be a number of conflicting opinions ranging from 3/4 to 6+.

If it takes you that long to get from Moody's to the start line then you have no chance in the race. Seriously though - we are intending anchoring up somewhere closer. I just wonder how many others have the same idea.

I'm not a member of TDS - is it worth it? As far as smart black boats are concerned, we were the only black Contessa....

Pleasant sail, spoiled by more or less persistent rain though.

I like it - race oriented coverage, everything from dinghies to maxis. On reflection I'm not sure whetjer it was you, or Rosina (also dark, but 26?) !!!

Definitely not us, the venerable light spi is white orange and green, backstay hydraulic, and we didn't wear buoyancy yesterday. (Flame away you sensible people)

PROTEST

Under RORC rules you have to wear Lifejackets whenever you are wearing oilies. Given the conditions on Saturday I find it hard to believe that you completed the course without having to don waterproofs so we must conclude that you were breaking the rules an so deserve disqualification /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Ah, but there you have it. I decided that my ancient (but as new) non-breathing Splashdown could stay at home, and used a breathable ski jacket. Took oilie trousers but didn't use them (can't stand the bit where you take them off when you might have been, um, inflating them from time to time). Jeans got wet, but it was warm.

So no dsq there then.

You flew passed us going thru Hurst.

Then you seemed to go wide at the needles before almost catching us again on the beat. But then we seemed to drop you for dust after about a third of the beat and finished way ahead of you.

Did you have issues on the beat?

I have some distant digi pics of you approaching the finish while we were on our way back to p'mouth. Let me have you email if you would like them.

We tack through 100 degrees at the best of times and our friends who were crewing aren't that competitive in terms of making fast tacks so we lost a good 20 mins from the Needles to St. Cats. You can only scream at your pals just so often.... We'd also have been a bit quicker if we'd unloaded a couple of cases of wine before the race!
