I always wanted to try this, row across an ocean, but time has eluded me. This is an amazing feat of strength, endurance and guts. Check it out: Rowing Solo Across the Pacific.
Read "the Bombard Story". Dr Alain did it in a rubber raft in the early 50's & deliberately didn't take any supplies with him to show that it was possible to survive long term in a disaster situation.
I checked out the "Bombard Story" Searush. Incredible feat sailing across the Atlantic in an inflatable with no provisions. He occasionally drank seawater to keep hydrated? I can't tell from the video of the Pacific run whether he had a sail on the boat.
Serebande - thanx for the nudge, but I think I'll stick with a less taxing means of propulsion and keep a well stocked fridge and cooler instead.
Here's another video I found of Roz Savage's row across the Pacific, maybe you've heard of her. It appears unlike the video I posted yesterday she was well stocked with food.
