Routing down the East side of the Irish Sea

I’ve done Falmouth - Port Dinorwic in a single trip: two nights arriving early on the second morning to catch the tide over the Caernarfon Bar. And an attempt to repeat Menai to Falmouth which failed; too much headwind in the Bristol Channel so we diverted to Milford Haven to wait for a change in the wind.
Do check that the Scillies are open to visiting yachts before you head on there. I can’t recall what the current status is.

Sadly Halo time is of the essence with a Biscay crossing in prospect, otherwise I would do that.

Still hoping to go down the Irish side and wondering if we would get chased out of anchorages if the ports are still closed.

Re. Holyhead marina - my understanding was that it had re-opened?

If time is of the essence then why are you looking for places to stop over , last ( and only ) time i did that trip ( 2 handed ) we came grom portugal to kyle of lochalsh without any stops , after a few days it was easy .

Well, I guess it is not that much of the essence.

But good point well made, if the weather is suitable pressing on is always an option.

I have done Eastbourne to Tenerife with only one stop for shopping and drinking in Spain.
