Our coast doesn't do well on YouTube, unfortunately. I think Dylan (KTL) would have succeeded if he'd just uploaded to YouTube, but he refused to for various quite reasonable reasons I believe. CaDoHa is pretty good for light viewing but doubt they will circumnavigate and seem to keep returning to base despite being liveaboard cruisers.

Thanks guys, I'll give them a look.

KTL - I got fed up with the constant moaning about money.
I'm watching Wave Rover at the moment but my wife refuses to watch it as she thinks he's crazy crossing the Atlantic in such a small boat.

I fancy watching people closer to home to inspire me although Delos, Uma, etc she enjoys watching.

Just watched a bit of the first episode of Sailing Brothers around Britain episode 1. Within 1 minute you got a close up of their socks and pants on a line, LOL, I'm hooked

Chasing Currents are excellent, as are Wildlings if you want UK people with UK attitudes. Both now in the Med but well worth a watch

Ironically YouTube would have also fixed that, but at the time it wasn't well understood what the business model was

I think Patreon has made a difference for content creators also.

Thanks for the information lustyd (y)

Yes you're right, Patreon and YouTube memberships have made a big difference in terms of both stability and earnings. The industry is really maturing and beginning to seriously eat into the incumbent content market.

Not sure if it counts as an "around Britain", but Adventure Now have three seasons of UK-based sailing (I think there may have been an excursion to Iceland).
Last seen in the wilds of west Scotland.

I stopped watching that. They got too dog orientated. I want to watch a sailing adventure video. Not one about a dog. Somehow watching a dog slobber all over the woman's face, having just licked its own t....es does not cut it with me.
But I do enjoy the Sailing Brothers.

Gixer, I am currently doing the full Round Britain and post here every day I sail with the title Round Britian day.... It covers that day's sailing and then if I stay longer there are photos of places I visit, plus a simple map showing the course between ports. Currently I am in the Shetland Isles and shortly heading back to Orkney to look around, before heading for the Western Isles onward. I do not expect to be home until the end of September, so I have plenty of places still to visit. I take lots of photos and video, plus I have a drone that I am using for some photos and videos. In the current thread, there is a link back to the first one and then a link on to the second, etc.

In my signature is the link to the first YouTube video covering Chatham to the Humber. Part 2 is nearly complete and just needing final editting. Due to poor internet speeds in these islands it will be a couple of weeks before it will be loaded. All my videos are without music and talking and rarely exceed 10 minutes but try to give a feel for the sailing and views of the harbours visited.

This is the nest one I have seen, even though he didnt finish it.
its the antithesis of the tits and ass videos, and refreshingly unboring, one of my fave youtube channels of all time, wish there were more like it.
Young lad on a shoestring corribee.
He used to post here but hasn’t been seen for some time. Think he moved on to other things
