There muck it up for everybody else!Can you imagine? Speed 30 knots and the only person onboard is asleep.
I do worry about whether this is a reasonable thing to do. The contestants may accept the risk but what about the poor sod cruising along minding his own business on starboard tack who may get hit?
Setting a course on the autopilot that intersects with the island of Guadeloupe and then going for a kip is many things.
Rotten bad luck is not one of them.

The "poor sod" might only be doing 5knts, what chance of getting out of the way?
Providing that Alex is transmitting AIS then 5 knots or 50 knots doesn't really make much difference at 30 miles out. :encouragement:
