Does anyone have an opinion or know about Rosebank Pearl boats

Are they still going? How is the quality? Are they well regarded?

Can't seem to find much info on the Googly

Rosebank ... I think there is a connection to Ireland and cruiser rental business (River Shannon ? ). Can be quite large 'Broom looking' cruisers with compatively modest engine size.
I maybe completely wrong.

Rosebank 31

The Rosebank cruisers were built in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Roscommon, Ireland which is on the Shannon-Eyrne Navigation. They used the Aquafibre hull and deck and were typically were fitted with a single Nanni Engine suitable for the inland waterways. The build quality is good, though not of the standard of for example Broom but this is reflected in the price. The engines are excellent and if maintained are trouble free and perfectly adequate for inland waterways. Most of the boats are on the Shannon and a small number were shipped to the UK. All the parts are available direct from the suppliers. The original builder is no longer in business and indeed was prosecuted for fraud. I have a Rosebank 31 and she is 12 years old and in excellent order. They were built in the late 1990s.

Two additions I would recommend are a) a bow thruster and b) a hood for the flying bridge, assuming it has an aft cabin. The former is required as the free-board is high and maneuvering in wind can be challenging without the bow thruster. The latter has transformed the boat by extending the accommodation and giving protection from the elements.

I hope this is of some help to you ?

Colin
