We have just returned home from visiting our boat in Morlaix where we were readying her for the summer. I thought it useful to let readers know that the new marina currently under construction at Roscoff is nearing completion. Speaking to the Director, M. Frederic Boccou there has been a slight delay but it is anticipated to be operational in mid June. A pdf of the marina can be found at http://www.morlaix.cci.fr/fileadmin/user_upload/equipements/projet_plaisance/DEPLIANT-PORT-GB_BAT.pdf

It will be a magnificent location as a stop-over for those going to or returning from Southern Brittany with the advantage of being cheaper than Trebeurden! See pricing schedule at
http://www.morlaix.cci.fr/fileadmin/user_upload/img/centre_de_documentation_photos/TARIFS_PLAISANCE_ROSCOFF_2012.pdf

We have been told by M. Boccou that an annual berth contract will include the 'Passeport Escales' which for those of you who frequent S. Brittany will be familiar with as it is available to all in the Segemoor ports e.g. La Roche Bernard. This will entitle berth-holders to a total of 5 nights free at any of the 54 marinas in the scheme. http://www.passeportescales.com (Conditions do apply). For those keeping or intending to keep their boats in France, this is an unbelievable offer adding fantastic value to the berthing costs especially when compared with the UK. You will see from the plan above that it is adjacent to the ferry port which also adds to the value for ease of access from UK. (Brittany Ferries Plymouth-Roscoff).

We enjoy it there, it has served us well for the last 6 years. :)
