Roll and tipping polyurethane paint.

I spray painted my last boat
Lots of coats of hibuild epoxy primer then industrial ( not marine) Imron.
Relatively speaking it was as cheap as chips, mental good finish
Looked a million dollars
Whilst at it I stripped, epoxied and painted the spars too - now that really took things “ to a whole new level”

I have never managed to hand paint anything as well nor as quickly as withspraying and I think you can well end up using more paint but not in a ‘good’ way.
The only saving is masking off and not cleaning the spray equipment I would suggest
With spray you just go round and round building up a fabulous thickness of finish

Thats a very good point. Our reason for going with rolled on perfection pro was simple.

We did not have spray equipment or the experience to do so the choice was more simple for us.

To keep dust to a minimum we used a powerful hoover with our sander, tack clothed before every coat and had a tent over the entire boat with heating.

We tried to keep the tent around 15 degrees as thats what the paint is designed for. Any more you have to move quickly and also the thinners evaporates

It's a lot of work, but worthwhile. I would consider spraying but bear in mind perfection pro doesnt require flattening at the end

I'm persuaded to 'avago wi' International Perfection Pro this autumn.
Which suppliers did you find were better-than-average in terms of CS and guidance?

....And how do you persuade them to answer the phone?

Thanks. Good points on both the fade and the bleed through. I think I’m stuck with red - the boat has been red for 46 years now

I did threaten to paint the port side red and the starboard side green but the family said they would disown me!
:D

I used my local chandler to supply the paint.

There are very many tips and tricks to use which I could go into great detail with

The rollers we used we specifically recommended by International themselves and they are simply the only roller for the job.
