A bright sunny day, lovely run over from Gosport. Tied up safely in Cowes Yacht Haven, a spot of lunch then it's off to see Status Quo tonight in the marina.

Matchstick men? Sadly unable to post piccies on here from the iPhone. In the Fountain watching sound checks on the stage. So much more civilised than the big venues and a fraction of the price as well!

Lovely. Just had it out for a clean and polish. Also just had the exterior seats re-trimmed by Princess and am really pleased. I'll start a separate thread for that when I can attach some photos.

I saw them a few times in the late '70's. Great band and good fun. Mix that with mobo's and you ar talking pure heaven!

Thanks for that Paul. Cleaned it this morning before setting off. Tickets still available at the door for those in Cowes. Just testing the Mahiki bar to make sure it's ok for next week and to get in the mood for the Quo.

I've seen Status Quo play twice, with a 30 year gap between. They sounded just the same, as far as I remember anyway.

A great band, would love to see them live just to hear "Fourty Five Hundred Times" and "Roadhouse Blues". Wish they would tour more.
