Rocker noise and movement

Hi
Had a terrible noise suddenly start on the engine today, VP MD2030
Nursed her gently to port. Took rocket cover off valve clearances look OK but there is sideways movement in the No3 exhaust valve rocker/lifter.
Does any of you know it that if normal? And can it be adjusted?

also slomo can be good for engine parts when it is running

although i'm assuming it's not running as the rocker cover is off? (now)

I doubt that the side play on that rocker would case the noise unless the valve is bent and sticking open.
