RNLI resues 'stranded yacht'

Some of us in the silent majority also have qualms about the profligacy of the RNLI.

I am a supporter of the local volunteers but Poole is 'something else'.

How do you know you're the majority if you're all silent? It's time to speak up and join Syb and Jon, turn them into a mass movement that will outlaw cup holders in lifeboats, insist boathouses are only bought from B&Q and charge every yachtie who gets a tow an eye watering 'contribution'. We want the RNLI to be more like the French, not some gold plated world-class state-of-the-art rescue service, this is Britain and we demand worse.

Agree, where are our farmers when we need them blocking the access roads to the life boat stations. We need to get on the same page as the French on this.
I also blame the British people for donating too much to the Charity, we should be more like the French and give less than the bare minimum to keep it going so they have to rely on state subsidy.
