The Riviera 4400 is an Australian made sports cruiser with IPS drives, not too dissimilar in shape to other makes around the world. We have an issue with excessive swinging around at anchor, which is dangerous in tight anchoring situations, as well as anchor slip in strong winds. Technically this is as a result of the distance between the centre of aerodynamics and the centre of gravity of the boat, combined with the flat shape of the hull. Drogues tend to only slow the swing down, but not reduce it. And a second anchor would be too inconvenient on a boat such as this. Anyone had any experience with this on a similar boat. Looking for ideas?
