My River Thames App has been updated again with improvements to the interactive map:
'Where am I?' reinstated (and follows you along the river)
Zoom using + - button as well as pinch and squeeze
Tapping Clear now removes any overlays and cancels 'Where am I?'
Tapping Clear keeps the map centre and zoom level as set by user

Existing users will get auto update. Otherwise download:
iOS
Android

Enjoy the river!!

Many thanks. Can you help me please. I clicked on your android link whick took me to amazon where i could see your app but it was not obvious what to do to download it. There was a "continue" button but that just took me to the amazon app store where i could not see your app. What should I do? Thanks.

Same as the above! I downloaded the Amazon app, then the amazon underground thing, but your app appears to be unavailable.
Is it only compatible with certain phones?
Thanks for any help,

Unfortunately I don't have an Android device (other than Amazon) to test the download mechanism - I asked Amazon and they said non-amazon Android devices can use the Amazon Underground app to download any Amazon App to any non-Amazon Android device.
I do hope you can get this to work without me having to buy another device!!

Please let me know how it goes...

Thanks Joe, can't get it to work though.
The app doesn't come up on any search either of Amazon app store or underground on my phone (HTC One m8 running Android 6.0)
Hopefully it will work in the future :)

I now have an Android version ready to upload to Google Play (and so available natively to any Android device).
Before I put it into general circulation I'd like to have it tested on a selection of Android devices (I have tested it only on one old and slow device and, unlike iOS, do not have a simulator to use).
Any forum members who would be willing to download and install the Android version of River Thames Guide and provide feedback, please PM me and I will send a download link...
thanks
