I now have a beta version of the free River Thames Guide for Android devices (includes all the functionality of the iPhone/iPad version seen here: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/river-thames-guide/id617269104?mt=8). When ready the App will be available in the Amazon Marketplace (but suitable for all Android devices). Because the App is quite large (it is self contained with full River Thames maps so does not require an Internet connection) there are limitations as to my options for testing (for this that might be interested: the Amazon developer provides the environment for packaging and testing mobile web apps in a very easy-to-use manner; unfortunately, the on-line testing is limited to apps less than 100 MB in size).
I am looking for a couple of volunteers to test the App on some form of Android tablet (preferably, but not essentially, an Amazon device); in particular the mapping features need to be explored.
Anyone prepared to do this testing please let me know an email address for the invite (will come from Amazon) and the device to be used.
Hopefully, a fully operational Android version will be available for the 2015 season...
