anybody else has problems with groups of oiks in small inflatables whizzing up and down ?

Not inflatables but a group of maybe 12 PWC's, probably from King's Ferry, roared through the 6knt part. One yob decided we needed a swamped cockpit so rushed in at us and turned out to cause a large wash that soaked us. And they wonder why we hate them...

We were on Queenborough ATL when similar things occurred recently.
The club at Kingsferry Bridge does take very dim view of this sort of thing but it is possible to launch nearby elsewhere, the Strand being very popular.
The miscreants were reported to Medway VTS by ATL staff, however Liverpool is long way away !
It does help if all events are reported.
The Medway and Swale Boating Association frequently meets with the Harbourmaster.

Just to clarify there are two places to launch at Kingsferry, the Long Reach Club is on the south side and every boat must display a registration number - starts with LR followed by three numbers. Note the number and report it, club takes very seriously their reputation. The oiks are usually from the north side and Medway VTS are not interested as it costs them money to persue. Kent Police did a few spotchecks at Queenborough a few years ago and found most of the skis were stolen and confiscated them. Peace and quite prevailed for a while, it was nice.

The slip at Queenborough is also used for launching PWCs but being right next to the ATL it does does tend to dissuade bad behaviour from folks launching there.
The powers that be do now have the craft to catch the miscreants, one suspects many have no idea that they are causing a nuisence until somebody points it out to them in non aggressive manner.
We were recently off of Sheerness and were politely asked if we would mind a visit from a couple of the crew from a Police Rib which had quietly pulled alongside.
After some discussion about the complexities of Raymarine Chartplotters they departed .
The vessel certainly looked capable of catching anything likely to be on the Medway.
Suspect the boat lies idle due to the fact that all the marine services have been gutted over the last decade of both staff and money.
On our Admiral of the River Cruise, in the past the Police would have been always been present , their absence due to not being prepared to fund the fuel for their craft was the first sign of how much importance was given to policing the river, then of course they sold off the existing craft and did not replace.
We also used to have a C&E boat based at Rochester.
