Rival 36 - agree with your views. Not sure what old-fashion means, sometimes used to indicate something which has been superceeded by a better modern version, but in this case
i'd still swop an AWB for one anyday & pay a surcharge on top.

Please don't get me wrong the Rival 38 is a desirable yacht and in a regional beauty contest, comprising of say ARC fleet, the Rival 38 would get my vote.

However I do not think the Rival 38 has Miss World potential unlike the deep keel Rival 34 which is a truly great design up there with the Nicholson 35.
