Since buying my Leisure 23 have never had the rigging done (do not know rigging history), now we are preparing the boat for summer have started to think about it. Last year had a few quotes to have the rigging changed fully but the price is pretty heavy.

There are three issues which have been identified but there might be other issues.

1. replacing the bottle screw aft shround connector as it's too short, has no split pin and no locking nut. Pic 1.

2. There is a bolt on the furler (green arrow) which I can be moved by hand. Pic 2

3. Also the bolt (blue arrow) does not fully extend into that nut. Pic 2

Do you (and who do you) recommend that a professional does these jobs? Based on river Crouch.

Is it foolish to not have the whole rigging replaced? We only do fair weather sailing, day sails and reef early.

Thanks

It is possible to diy with replacement rigging made up to your measurements by Jimmy Green. For a 23 ft boat that will be your best bet.

Well, either Dave is reading this forum (Hi!) and has since corrected the page, or there's some crazy going on here! For me, the 'Contact Us' - Contact Us - page reads as follows:

No, there is an issue with Daves website when viewed with Firefox (see my previous post). Looks OK in Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

I'm intrigued...! And sad, it has to be said! I've just tried the page in a few different combinations in Browserling and all looks okay. Are the people who can't see the page using Windows 10 and Edge by chance?

Edit: Following previous post, what OS are you using PaulRainbow?
