Ribnet suspension facts

I will leave you to make up your own minds about my suspension from Ribnet known there as 'flanker' (rugby position), the link below details it. It seems that another of my 'bad posts' was trying to help someone with a PVC glue stick problem, I tried to explain that my wife uses talcom powder on her PVC catsuite and that stops it sticking and gives at a smooth all over look with not hitches, I got no thanks for my help, just suspended. Perhaps my hint there could help Pauline or others.

Talcum Powder !

Fabulous stuff. Not only useful for PVC, rubber and leather wearing but also great for seeing how far your children's toes go in their shoes, it also helps locates leaks in the room under the salon - it's where the engines are i think.

My personal preference is Johnson's Baby Powder - great smell !

Re: Talcum Powder !

Pauline, thank you so much I thought I was the only one into PVC. L.O.L. I will try some of the other uses, but as you say the smell is great, I tried the oil, but could not justify the mess in her suite.

I LOVE KIMMIE

Just read your link. It's made me realise what a wonderful and patient human being Kimmie is. I'm so glad we haven't got Mr John sense-of-humour-bypass- Kennett monitoring this forum. There would only be 2 people left on it, and one of them would be him !

Re: I LOVE KIMMIE

He is of his own admission running a dictatorship, I for one do not for one minute have a moment of my time for peopel like that. For goodness sake if people want to live like that go to Bagdad. Our country is free at the cost of many lives, I have fought for this country in very difficult circumstances, people like that need to be sorted out once and for all. Our boys areheading off into the unknown to fight for others freedom, and we seem to have some dictators on our own doorstep. People have rights, they must use them or be trodden all over. I have monitered this site for months, there are some stupid things said, but I am guilty of that after a French trip so can't moan, but the people here seem to be more friendly than some other places. Better not put too many posts on or I could get suspended by Kim. Anyway I get my boat in 5 weeks and have just done my powerboat level 2, I have my VHF next week, so feel a little more like a sailer, if that's the word, and don't feel like I should not be on here.

I do know for a fact that ribnet has introduced a system whereby you can only place post every 60 seconds, that is a killer if you want to reply to a couple of things during your lunch, you will see that the posts have tumbled and I know for a fcat there are loads of them coming on here now, some badly disguised, some blatantly open L.O.L. Perhaps they should be welcomed as Asylym seekers are, that seem sto be the category they are in, we have to understand what regime they are escping from.

<font color=blue>Seems to me its a dictatorship on RIBNET and the dude running it doesn't know about FRED DRIFT something we here are very familiar with.
Perhaps he would benefit from a course in Forum Running from our Kim. I'm sure Kim will be pleased to educate him for a fair fee of course /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

office firewall

Tee hee. I've just discovered the office firewall wont allow me to a site with "forum" in the url but will allow me to a site (such as this one) with "forums". Dang, will have to read about 3 piece cat suites at home tonight!

Welcome to ybw

Your points about freedom all understood but a gentle reminder that we do have some rules too. Which, incidentally, is why I've just stripped out some posts that seem unduly absuve towards you. I have a lot of sympathy for any forum moderator that explains the tedium of seeing an "I expect this will get me banned..." post. As you have put your life on the line I guess then you'll also know that life is too short for such nonsense.

There's a lot more people viewing the forums here than any other site in the UK, so as long as you remember that when posting then we'll all swing along just fine. Best of luck with the VHF training.

Re: Welcome to ybw

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the welcome. I did not see anything abusive towards me unless the ybw Mafia slipped one in whilst I wasn't looking, L.O.L., perhaps you mixed me up with Manos, anyway as you say life is too short.

Cheers,
