What do you call those ribbed silicon bronze nails? And where can i get some?

I thought they were GripFix but googling this only brings up some no-nails look alike!

they are used in cedar roof shingles

I think you would find the cheapest & most readily available option for that would be stainless steel annular ring nails

I hadn't realised people were still posting on this thread.

I got a couple of boxes of different size Gripfast on fleabay and the job's nearly done.

I did love the old boxes - a real time warp - took me back to bodybuilding in the 60's.
