I know that lots has been written on this subject and that it sometimes difficult to know what to believe.
My leisure 20 has navy blue gell coat now some 30? years old. I tried several time to T cut it but it only improved things for a short time.
2 years ago I had a serious 'go' at about a quarter of the boat then got side tracked taking my other boat to France.
I had a really good go with the T cut ( about 4 applications using plenty of elbow grease and wiping off between applications) It looked good but then it had looked good before.
BUT..... I then applied 4 coats of quality wax polish, buffing between coats.
I returned to the boat today 2 years on and find that the quarter treated still looks great and the rest.... orrible.
The 'good bit just needs a wash then 2 more coats of polish to maintain the looks and seal.

So treating can work and can last!!...... get rubbing.
