Find out what they should be for both waters, I would say that there too big and 1 inch off should sort it, if the engines are flat out and labouring and under revving then they will use more fuel if the props are wrong, has your engineer set the valve clearances and checked the timing of the unit injectors, complicated things those 3126 engines as they have a system all of there own and only CAT can sort out major problems they have all the settings and dont like disclosing service info unless they really have to.

I've used Hamble Props in the past - mainly just for repairs but they do seem to know what they are doing.
