Replacing passerelle remote

My opacmare pass has a non opacmare remote.
I guess this is a genetic remote - should I be able to buy another two Chanel remote and just use the existing to program the frequencies/functions?

J., a few threads on the topic, don't remember now, but for sure my rolling code or whatever that thing was Quick controller had remotes that cost 150+ a piece, 30euro later I got a chinese black box and 6 remotes
Son already destroyed the one as he left his rucksack on the dingy floor and got wet, the other 5 are going strong.

if you can get IP6* remotes at a reasonable price, go ahead it's not the type of thing you can check at the shop though, so you may end up collecting various remotes that wont talk to the controller...

I dealt with Rob Street and his advice was exactly correct, he knew all about these and the differences between model etc, give him a call and send him photos of your existing remote.

Mine is a four button remote and the total price was £138.

How do I know a new remote is working on the right frequencies to do up/down/in/out?

With my Opacmare passarelle, you have to pair each new remote to the control unit, instructions are in the manual if you have it. I tried buying a cheap "learning remote" of supposedly the right frequency, but couldn't get it to work.

Nooe, no manaual. But since the remote shown is clearly not an opacmare one it seems it is possible

Eg this code is S738 Modal Cardin
Sent the exact duplicate iirc €30 each --now I have 3

I've bought two or three new ones, and each needed pairing, it must e a different model of Opacmare. I think pairing makes sense, as raising the passarelle is a security measure in port, plus it could potentially be inconvenient or even dangerous in a marina if you tried to lower your passarelle, and did your neighbours instead or as well.

I agree totally that they should need pairing, but I'm sure my new one did not need that, it just worked. Maybe I gave them a code number from the old remote, can't remember.

Hi Jez

I use a 4-channel 'Quick' wireless receiver to remotely control my passerelle, which works very well - the receivers usually just control 4 internal relays so you can normally configure them easily to suit your needs. Let me know if you need further info and I will dig out some images. I will be out to SCM late on Wednesday, for 10 days, feel free to come over to take a look if you or Mark are out.
