What do you want to replace, the sole or a covering on the sole? The sole of my Centaur, layout 'A' is just a fibreglass moulding. All I did was to cover it with synthetic carpet cut carefully to shape. I cannot imagine needing to replace the GRP sole itself.

Thank you for the welcome and the benefit of your experience capetown, you have given me food for thought.

I have recently joined the woa and feel you may be right.

The boat i have is the deep keeled sister of the centaur, a pembroke, she is fitted with a wooden sole, she also has a through bilge system which allows the bilge water and gunk from the engine bilge to flow into the saloon bilge. At some point in the past it has rissen up and discoloured the sole, this is the reason i am replacing it. I had thought that all centaurs had this wooden sole fitted as well.

Thanks for your replies, i think i shall follow capetowns lead and fit a piece of material over the existing sole.
