Hi All,
Looking for some advice for replacing a Jabsco manual toilet with an electric equivalent in a Sunseeker Portofino 400 please (and before anyone asks why, it's a SWMBO'd thing).
I had originally purchased the Jabsco lite flush, primarily because it has the same footprint as the old manual, but unfortunately when I removed the toilet the old bolts sheared. Rather than using self tappers into plywood Sunseeker seemed to have glassed some threaded steel into the base which have, over time, reacted with the bolts and corroded solid.
Rather then trying to drill out and re-tap the old bolts I subsequently purchased a Jabsco quiet flush raw water option as an alternative which I was going to install yesterday as it has a different footprint. However, upon opening the packaging I noticed that the waste pipe is only 1" ID which looks awfully small (I believe human urine reacts with sea water and calcifies and I don't fancy regularly replacing the waste pipe....).
I have looked around at the better quality options (Tecma etc) but unfortunately it is being fitted into such a small space (180mm max depth footprint) that nothing else looks like it will fit, with the possible exception of the Sanimarin Maxlite.
My question is therefore, is the Quiet flush with it's 1" waste pipe a reliable toilet or should I be looking at alternatives? Does anyone have any experience of the above toilets or are there others which could be options?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
