Good people,

I need some advice.

I have to replace two very old Canpa hatches size 550mm x 550mm (external dimensions).

My question...will Pastimo 550mm x 550mm replace them without any further modification to the deck (ie is it the same cutout dimension)

What about Seateach - possibly supply hatches at good prices and with them advise ??

Nigel, sorry don't know about Plastimo but we replaced ours with Gebo hatches and they were a really good fit - no alteration needed to deck, hope this helps

Do you really need to replace the complete hatches? We have replaced the perspex of the Canpa hatches on our Nic 48 as we did on our former boat (Nic35). Not a big deal, really, we chose lexan instead of the old perspex. If you would like to try this, send me a PM and I'll give you all the info needed.

cheers

Thanks for the help.

My hatches are now being refurbished by Eagle as suggested by the forum saving me a pretty penny and a bit of GRP work.

Good work chaps

Eagle Boat Windows?

Excellent!

Is he using Makralon instead of Perspex? He made us some new windows around 11 years ago and they were first class.

I recon most of these hatches are around the same dimensions. On our Bavaria, all the Rutgerson hatches had to be replaced (under warranty) with Gebos and the only difference was that the interior flange on the Gebos was 2mm less in depth.
