Replacement rubbers for remote

Has any kind soul got these rubber inserts for this remote please?
I contacted Cooney who had no stock and then the manufacturers who offered to sell me a whole new system as they didn't make these any more.
The remote and all the gear work fine so it seems a bit excessive to replace everything.

Would some flat rubber sheet do the job?
