Replacement 24 volt 100 Amp alternator.

Can anyone suggest where I can buy a replacement 24v 100 A alternator. I will need to remortgage the house and sell the wife to afford a Volvo Penta unit.

Some bus/truck alternators/electrics are 24volt.

Scrapyard/ auto electricals repair should be a good price.

Go to a commercial scrap yard, look for crashed Scania or Volvo lorrys, if possible get one off a flat bed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif that has electric tail lift. Motorola also make 24 volt Alts but you may need to swing the brackets and make a different fixing arrangement.

Try speaking to Prestolite . They also do reconditioned units.
