Technically, you can use that, but it's not the easiest stuff to use. If you were repairing a crack or a small hole in GRP and you were not going to paint over it, it's good stuff. As you plan to paint it would be much simpler and easier to use something like Plastic Padding Marine Filler (Polyester) such as : Plastic Padding (Teroson UP 610) Marine Filler Large | Force 4 ChandleryThis stuff: Gelcoat Filler.

Well, the gelcoat filler arrived today but it’s only a small tin (500g) so I’ll keep it as it may come in handy with all the other stuff that needs doing. Easier to work with and easier to sand etc.
