My little Beneteau is fitted with a Renault Couach RC16. Got one or two problems.
The engine stop does not return after a stop. The stainless stop pin goes in but does not return and has to be manually reset each time. I have removed it, and the 'o' ring is worn and feels a little gravelly, but does not leak. Should there be a return spring in the body of the stop?
I am looking for an oil filter, our local Yanmar agent does not have any of these strange beasts, which is a thin tube mounted upright on the block.
I am looking for a service manual, I don't want to over fill either the gearbox or the engine and definitely want to know grades.
The engine has only been run on the hard, and the pump hoses were all disconnected when we tested it with a hose into the the block, so I need to work out where the hoses go, the pump is the one with three spigots that scavenges the bilge.
The engine is based on the Yanmar YGM20.
