Removing side power thruster anodes

Just done mine - Side Power 7hp twin from around 1996. I have a set of Allen and torque drive and the one I got to fit was a no.3 - quite small but it was a good fit in the bolt. There are two Allen type bolts under the unit and its the inner one you want. Mine came off quite easily and the anode was very wasted. The replacement anode came with a larger No 5 Allen bolt.

I think this may be a different design. My twin prop has a button anode that sits on the end of the hub of each prop held in by a central allen bolt. What I hear is that once the allen bolts are out it is a workup levering the old anode off the end of the prop and this I think reflects the advice from other posts.

About to tackle this. I have heard they can be hard to shift. Anyone got experience and advice?

I have had the same problem, they are a right bugger to prise off. I have seen other people take their thruster props off for anti fouling, which would obviously help, but I don't know how to do that.

+1 the problem can be working inside the tunnel as like on mine it's so far in and there no room to get anything in there
