Removing alarm sensor from sail drive diapragm

Has anyone removed the water ingress alarm sensor from a Yanmar SD20 for testing. I cannot see how it comes off - does it screw , pull or what?
This is the one that fits through from the top (B) diaphragm to show if there is water between diaphragms

I have removed it during replacement of the diaphragm, it screws in the normal direction.

Did not do any testing on it though, it is just two metal studs with a space between them.
