Remote hanset at helm

You need a compatible Raymarine remote handset, which will be a wired connection. As the 54E is a discontinued model, you may find it difficult to get a suitable handset. It would be worth asking Raymarine whether one of their current remote handsets would work with the 54E.

Best of luck, but since the 54E isn't designed for a remote mic, AFAIK, I can't see how any handset could display necessary information such as channel no. etc.

You're right! Seems the 54E is one of the few which can't take a remote. Best solution then is to sell it on eBay and get a newer radio.

The 55E is almost identical in size and can take a remote. But a Standard Horizon would be cheaper.
