Humm. Loved the book.Thought the film was OK, given the budget/ running time/ vessels.
Also, there is a slight suspension of belief with 'classic' stuff. We have slightly lower expectations(tolerance) of movies if they get the period bits right? Think all the detective stuff on c4. Poirot. Marple et al..
The remark about banning American actors was stupid. It is not the actors, just the production cos/directors that run the movies. Think Bridget Jones, good example of an actor ( I hate the loss of actress's) doing the job in as a brit in a couple of popular flics.
I would like a new ROTS, doubt if it will attract the money.
