Each 1000 refastening job starts with the first screw, joy after 10 minutes careful work, the extractor gently eases a decades old screw from the plank.

No, but when I have worn out [or broken] a similar tool I bought from www.turners-retreat.co.uk [stock no: MW3030] I intend to buy a set of Unscrewums. The problem is the cost of importing them from the USA.

The Turners Retreat Tool is a sort of thin wall hole-saw, available in one size only, but the Unsrewums come in a variety of sizes. The Unscrewums have the advantage of removing less wood but you have to remove the screw head first. They seem to be well thought of by members of the Wooden Boat magazine forum.
