Red schooner(?) off Shotley - the end of an era?

Shortly Marina reports the red 3 masted vessel has blown ashore after over 25 years anchored there.

Is she still on the beach? I guess this set of Springs haven't been great - not the biggest and whooping big High Pressure over us.

She's anchored close in, more or less where she was in the pics posted previously. She dries out at LW and refloats at HW. If i had to hazard a guess, i'd say her days are numbered, sadly.

Are you perhaps getting confused by the naval pinnace which Shotley foolishly allowed to be towed into the marina and which promptly sank? That was eventually removed from the marina, but is languishing just down the road, awaiting demolition.

No. (Incidentally the pinnace was RAF, not Navy.)
